Also known as Maneki Neko or a beckoning cat, these statues are believed to bring good luck to the owner. These statues are traditionally of a Japanese Bobtail cat with one upright paw, and are usually displayed in the entrance of a business. Commonly, a raised left paw is said to attract money, while a raised right protects it, but there are many variations to this belief.
